Mary Watkins

Mary was born in 1856 in Dittisham, Devon. Mary's father was Thomas Elford Watkins and her mother was Harriet Best. Her paternal grandparents were William Watkins and Mary Holmes; her maternal grandparents were William Best and Susanna Finch. She had three brothers and five sisters, named William Thomas Elford, Alfred, Arthur, Susan Rose Best, Mary Field, Maria Jane, Maria and Anna Rose. She was the third oldest of the nine children.
