Maria Jane Watkins

Maria Jane was born on December 20th, 1857 in Dittisham, Devon. Maria Jane's father was Thomas Elford Watkins and her mother was Harriet Best. Her paternal grandparents were William Watkins and Mary Holmes; her maternal grandparents were William Best and Susanna Finch. She had three brothers and five sisters, named William Thomas Elford, Alfred, Arthur, Susan Rose Best, Mary Field, Mary, Maria and Anna Rose. She was the fourth oldest of the nine children.
