Richard Best

Richard was born in 1826 in Dittisham, Devon. Richard's father was William Best and his mother was Susanna Finch. His maternal grandparents were James Finch and Grace Elliott. He had four brothers and four sisters, named William, John, Edward, Ebenezer, Harriet, Mary, Susan and Louisa. He was the oldest of the nine children.
