William, known as William, was born about 1782 in Jones, North Carolina.  William's father was John ISLER.  His paternal grandfather was Federick ISLER and his paternal grandmother is Sarah BONNER. He had two brothers and seven sisters, named John, Nathan, Nancy, Catherine, Polly, Huldy, Harriett, Rebecca and Winnifred.  He was the third oldest of the ten children.  William, known as William, is no longer alive.
