Peter, known as Peter, was born on March 28th, 1808.  Peter's father was Jacob GEARHART and his mother was Mary (Polly) FISHER.  His paternal grandparents were John Jacob GEARHART and Magdalene NEVER. He had five brothers and four sisters, named Daniel, Gideon, Jacob, Joseph, John, Catherine, Elizabeth, Mary and Sarah.  He was the oldest of the ten children.  He diedJun 18th, 1891.
