Gideon, known as Gideon, was born on May 31st, 1818.  Gideon's father was Jacob GEARHART and his mother was Mary (Polly) FISHER.  His paternal grandparents were John Jacob GEARHART and Magdalene NEVER. He had five brothers and four sisters, named Peter, Daniel, Jacob, Joseph, John, Catherine, Elizabeth, Mary and Sarah.  He was the fourth oldest of the ten children.  He diedMar 28th, 1853.
