Joseph, known as Joseph, was born on January 29th, 1825.  Joseph's father was Jacob GEARHART and his mother was Mary (Polly) FISHER.  His paternal grandparents were John Jacob GEARHART and Magdalene NEVER. He had five brothers and four sisters, named Peter, Daniel, Gideon, Jacob, John, Catherine, Elizabeth, Mary and Sarah.  He was the third youngest of the ten children.  He diedMar 1st, 1861.
