Charles, known as Charles, was born on August 25th, 1884.  Charles' father was Franklin GEARHART and his mother was Anna M YEAGER.  His paternal grandparents were Peter GEARHART and Lydia MILLER. He had five brothers and a sister, named William, Mahlon, Clayton, Amiedly , Boyd and Gertrude.  He was the second oldest of the seven children. He had two half-brothers named Clarence and Ammon.  He diedSep 13th, 1979.  He was buried in Eden Evangelical Lutheran Church, Rockefeller Twp., Northumberland.1
