William Petyt

William was born in 1726 in Bolton Abbey, Yorkshire, England. William's father was William Petyt and his mother was Mary Day. His paternal grandparents were George Pettyt and Ann Simpson. He had five brothers and two sisters, named George, Sylvester, Luke, Robert, George, Anne and Sarah. He was the fifth oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 46 in September 1772 in Skipton, Yorkshire, England.
