Sylvester Petyt

Sylvester was born in 1718 in Bolton Abbey, Yorkshire, England. Sylvester's father was William Petyt and his mother was Mary Day. His paternal grandparents were George Pettyt and Ann Simpson. He had five brothers and two sisters, named George, Luke, William, Robert, George, Anne and Sarah. He was the second oldest of the eight children.
