Thomas Petty

Thomas was born in 1841 in Menwith Hill, Menwith & Darley, Hampsthwaite, Yorkshire, England.¹ Thomas' father was George Petty and his mother was Hannah Brewer. His paternal grandmother was Jane. He had six brothers and five sisters, named John, William, Joseph, James, Benjamin, Charles, Mary, Jane, Hannah, Elizabeth and Sarah. He was the seventh oldest of the twelve children.
