Charles Petty

Charles was born in 1849 in Darley, Menwith, Hampsthwaite, Yorkshire, England. Charles' father was George Petty and his mother was Hannah Brewer. His paternal grandmother was Jane. He had six brothers and five sisters, named John, William, Thomas, Joseph, James, Benjamin, Mary, Jane, Hannah, Elizabeth and Sarah. He was the eleventh oldest of the twelve children.
