Thomas Petty

Thomas was born in 1831 in Kettlewell, Yorkshire, England.¹ Thomas' father was John Pettyt and his mother was Annis Walker. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Pettyt and Agnes Ibbotson. He had two brothers and seven sisters, named John, George, Ellen, Esther, Anne (Nancy), Annis, Alice, Mary Ann and Sarah Jane. He was the fourth oldest of the ten children.
