Sarah Jane Petty

Sarah Jane was born in 1847 in Litton, Yorkshire, England.¹ Sarah Jane's father was John Pettyt and her mother was Annis Walker. Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Pettyt and Agnes Ibbotson. She had three brothers and six sisters, named John, Thomas, George, Ellen, Esther, Anne (Nancy), Annis, Alice and Mary Ann. She was the youngest of the ten children.
