Kate Newiss

Kate was born in December 1879 in Durham, Stockton On Tees, England.¹ Kate's father was Thomas Newis and her mother was Mary A Dobson. Her paternal grandparents were James Newis and Dorothy Lambert. She had four brothers and two sisters, named Herbert, Herbert, Thomas, Thomas, Edith and Kate. She was the sixth oldest of the seven children.
