Thomas Newis

Thomas was born in March 1846 in Ripon, Yorkshire, England.¹ Thomas' father was James Newis and his mother was Dorothy Lambert. His paternal grandparents were James Newis and (Unknown) (Newis); his maternal grandparents were Christopher Lambert and Ann (Lambert). He had three sisters named Mary Ann, Mary Ann and Hannah. He was the second oldest of the four children.
