John Newiss

John was born in 1833 in Aldfield, Ripon, Yorkshire, England.¹ John's father was William Newis and his mother was Ursula Kitson. His paternal grandfather was James Newis. He had four brothers and three sisters, named Thomas, James, William Francis, Jospeh, Elizabeth, Elizabeth and Margaret A. He was the oldest of the eight children. He died before 1881.
