Thomas Newis

Thomas was born in 1836 in Aldfield, Ripon, Yorkshire, England and his baptism took place on August 23rd, 1835.¹ Thomas' father was William Newis and his mother was Ursula Kitson. His paternal grandfather was James Newis. He had four brothers and three sisters, named John, James, William Francis, Jospeh, Elizabeth, Elizabeth and Margaret A. He was the second oldest of the eight children.
