Matilda was born in 0943.  Matilda's father was King Louis The 4. (d'Outremer or Transmarinus) of The Carolingian Dynasty and her mother was Queen Consort Gerberga of The Ottonian dynasty.  Her paternal grandparents were King Charles The 3. (The Simple) of The Carolingian Dynasty and Queen Consort Eadgifu of House Wessex; her maternal grandparents were King Henry (The Fowler) of The Ottonian dynasty and Queen Consort Matilda. She had a brother named Lothair.  She was the younger of the two children.  She died about November 26th, 0981.
