John was born on March 7th, 1775.  John's father was William Islington (Tuck) and his mother was Elizabeth (Betty) Aldridge.  His paternal grandparents were <Unknown> and Mary Tuck.  He was the oldest of ten children.  He had four brothers and five sisters, named William, Robert, James, Jeremiah, Sarah, Mary, Jane, Ann and Rebecca.
