Anna Katharina Sprecher

Anna was born on January 19th, 1843 in Leipzig (Leibzig), Bessarabia, Russia (now Ukraine).¹

Anna's father was Friedrich Jon “Fred” Sprecher and her mother was Louise “Christine” Gruning (Sprecher) Grunning. Her paternal grandparents were Gottfried Sprecher and Anna Katharina Sokolosky (Sprecher). She had seven brothers and three sisters, named Christian, Friedrick, Gottlieb, Carl, Samuel, August, Dan, Juliana, Louisa and Christina. She was the oldest of the eleven children. She had a half-brother named Michael. She died at 6 months old on August 18th, 1843 in Leipzig (Leibzig), Bessarabia, Russia (now Ukraine).¹
