Ida was born on May 20th, 1916 in Elgin, Grant County, North Dakota, USA.1   Ida's father was Gottlieb Rivinius Jr and her mother was Katherine “Katie” Stradinger (Rivinius).  Her paternal grandparents were Gottlieb Rivinius Sr. and Katherine Herman (Rivinius); her maternal grandparents are Carl Stradinger and Katrena Nehr. She had six brothers and three sisters, named Edward, Jake, Theodore, Gottlieb, Albert, Arthur, Katie, Maggie and Lydia.  She was the nineth oldest of the ten children.  She died at the age of 67 on April 10th, 1984 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA.  She was buried in Elgin, Grant County, North Dakota, USA.1 1
