Albert was born on June 8th, 1912 in Elgin, Grant County (Morton), North Dakota, USA.1   Albert's father was Gottlieb Rivinius Jr and his mother was Katherine “Katie” Stradinger (Rivinius).  His paternal grandparents were Gottlieb Rivinius Sr. and Katherine Herman (Rivinius); his maternal grandparents are Carl Stradinger and Katrena Nehr. He had five brothers and four sisters, named Edward, Jake, Theodore, Gottlieb, Arthur, Katie, Maggie, Lydia and Ida.  He was the seventh oldest of the ten children.  He died at the age of 84 on October 21st, 1996 in Mesa, Maricopa County, Arizona, USA.1

Albert and Martha were married in a religious & civil ceremony on June 17th, 1934 in Old Leipzig, Grant County, North Dakota, USA.1
