Edward was born on September 17th, 1904 in Streeter, Stutsman County, North Dakota, USA.1   Edward's father was Gottlieb Rivinius Jr and his mother was Katherine “Katie” Stradinger (Rivinius).  His paternal grandparents were Gottlieb Rivinius Sr. and Katherine Herman (Rivinius); his maternal grandparents are Carl Stradinger and Katrena Nehr. He had five brothers and four sisters, named Jake, Theodore, Gottlieb, Albert, Arthur, Katie, Maggie, Lydia and Ida.  He was the third oldest of the ten children.  He died at the age of 82 on November 7th, 1986 in Livermore, Alameda County (Contra Costa County), California, USA.1 

Edward's family

Edward and Elsie were married in a religious & civil ceremony on August 25th, 1929 in Wishek, McIntosh County, North Dakota, USA.1   They had a son named Donald.  The family line is yet to be completed.
