James Motion

James was born on May 7th, 1769 in St. Andrews and St. Leonards. James' father was James Motion and his mother was Elspeth Melvin. His paternal grandparents were Andrew Motion and Janet Richard. He had two brothers and four sisters, named Alexander, George, Janet, Elspeth, Anna and Katherine. He was the youngest of the seven children.
