Grace was born in September 1839 in Kingsbury, Somerset, England.1   Grace's father was Joseph Best and her mother was Hannah Gillett.  Her paternal grandfather is Joesph Best and her paternal grandmother was Grace Best. She had four brothers and eight sisters, named Arthur, Edwin, James, Francis, Eliza, Rhoda, Hannah, Emma, Ann, Pamela, Lucy Jane and Jemmima.  She died at the age of 79 on February 3rd, 1919 in Goulburn, NSW, Australia.
