Valentine, known as Val, was born on February 1st, 1920.  His godfather was Pat Nevins and his godmother was Bridget Kiernan. Val's father was Patrick Ward and his mother was MaryAnne FARNAN.  His maternal grandparents are <Unknown> and <Unknown>.  He had eight brothers and two sisters, and also a sibling of unknown gender, named Phil, Tommy, Pat, Frank, Mick, Ben, John, Joseph, Josie, Maggie and annon.  He was the eighth oldest of the twelve children.  He died at the age of 78 in 1998.
