Joannes Baptista was born on December 9th, 1790 in Lier, Antwerp, Belgium.  Joannes Baptista's father was Melchior Tisson and his mother was Anna Catharina Pastyn.  His paternal grandfather was Melchior Tisson and his paternal grandmother is Maria Theresia Denis. He had two brothers and a sister, named Joannes Baptista, Joannes Franciscus and Anna Elisabetha.  He was the youngest of the four children. He had five half-brothers and a half-sister, named Melchior Gummarus, Guilielmus, Guilielmus, Johannes Fransiscus, Michael and Anna Maria.  He died at the age of 71 on September 24th, 1862 in Duffel, Antwerp, Belgium.
