Melchior was born in January 1709 in Lier, Antwerp, Belgium.  Melchior's father is Bernardus Tisson and his mother is Cornelia Vernimmen. He had five brothers and three sisters, named Petrus, Joannes Baptista, Franciscus, Guilhelmus, Cornelius, Maria Cornelia, Catharina and Anna Clara.  He was the fourth oldest of the nine children.  He died at the age of 59 on November 16th, 1768 in Lier, Antwerp, Belgium.
