Frances was born on March 9th, 1898 in Missouri.  Frances' father was August A Gripka and her mother was Martha Bruenn.  Her paternal grandparents were Jacob Gripka and Mary Daus; her maternal grandparents were August Bruenn and Regina. She had five brothers and six sisters, named John, Joseph, Jerome, Sisbert, Lawrence, Agnes, Rose, Fridoline, Dorothy, Clara and Ruth.  She was the second oldest of the twelve children.  She died at the age of 67 on December 14th, 1965.
