Trintje was born on August 2nd, 1852 in Strackholt, Aurich, Lower Saxony, Germany.1   Trintje's father was Tamme Dirks Eckhoff and her mother was Gretje Heeren Hermans. She had four brothers and three sisters, named Jan, Tamme, Heere, S, Hempe, Fohlke and Vohlke.  She was the fourth youngest of the eight children.  She died at the age of 3 on March 12th, 1856 in Strackholt, Aurich, Lower Saxony, Germany.1
