Jan Tammen Eckhoff

Jan was born on February 4th, 1842 in Strackholt, Aurich, Lower Saxony, Germany.¹ Jan's father was Tamme Dirks Eckhoff and his mother was Gretje Heeren Hermans. He had three brothers and four sisters, named Tamme, Heere, S, Hempe, Fohlke, Vohlke and Trintje. He was the oldest of the eight children.
