Laura May was born in 1872 in Windsor, Henry, Missouri, USA.1 Laura May's father was William M. McCown and her mother was Martha A. "Mattie" Houston. Her paternal grandparents were James M. McCown and Nancy Mourning Lewis; her maternal grandparents were Harvey Houston and Isabella Hamilton. She had four brothers and a sister, named Ulyssis S., Cincinnatus, Thomas Benton, William Henry and Alice L.. She was the youngest of the six children. She died at the age of 1 in 1873 in Windsor, Henry, Missouri, USA. She was buried in 1873 in Laurel Oak Cemetery.1 -
