William Lewis Briscoe 
William Lewis was born in 1855 in Indiana, USA.1 William Lewis' father was Samuel M. Briscoe and his mother was Margaret Jane McCown. His maternal grandparents were James M. McCown and Nancy Mourning Lewis. He had a brother and four sisters, named Winfield Scott, Dulsena Jane, Elizabeth Mourning, Amelia Catherine and Darthula. He died at the age of 91 in 1946.-
