Elizabeth Mourning Briscoe 
Elizabeth Mourning was born in 1856. Elizabeth Mourning's father was Samuel M. Briscoe and her mother was Margaret Jane McCown. Her maternal grandparents were James M. McCown and Nancy Mourning Lewis. She had two brothers and three sisters, named Winfield Scott, William Lewis, Dulsena Jane, Amelia Catherine and Darthula. She died at the age of 24 in 1880.-
