Carrie was born on December 5th, 1882 in Temperance, Monroe, Michigan, United States.1   Carrie's father was John Quincy Adams and her mother was Jane Ann Newcomb.  Her paternal grandparents were Lucas Adams and Mary A. Baker. She had three brothers and four sisters, named Charles Lucas, George Milan, Ervin, Aurilla H., Lorella, Hattie N. and Bertha.  She was the second youngest of the eight children.  She died  due to Respiratory Problem and/or Pneumonia at the age of 44 on April 9th, 1927 in Dundee, Monroe, Michigan, United States.  She was buried in Ridgeway Cemetery, Ridgeway, Michigan.2

‌Carrie and Elmer were married in a religious ceremony on April 9th, 1910 in At parents residence, Temperance, Monroe County, Michigan, United States.  They had two sons named Russell E. and Marshall Adams.
