William was born on March 6th, 1761 in Woburn, Middlesex, Massachusetts.1   William's father was Benjamin Simonds and his mother was Susanna Simonds.  His paternal grandparents were Benjamin Simonds and Abigail Simonds; his maternal grandparents were James Simonds and Mary Simonds. He had four brothers and six sisters, named Benjamin, Benjamin, Zebedee, Nathan, Abigail, Mary, Martha, Lucy, Catherine and Susanna.  He died at the age of 15 on April 9th, 1776 in Woburn, Middlesex, Massachusetts.2
