Benjamin was born on April 30th, 1717 in Charlestown, Suffolk, Massachusetts.1   Benjamin's father was Thomas Frothingham and his mother was Mary Frothingham.  His paternal grandparents were Nathaniel Frothingham and Mary Kettle; his maternal grandparents were Andrew Stimpson and Abigail Stimpson. He had three brothers and a sister, named Thomas, Joseph, Andrew and Mary. He had a half-brother and four half-sisters, named Thomas, Esther, Esther, Abigail and Anne.  He died at the age of 52 on June 1st, 1769 in Newburyport, Essex, Massachusetts.  He was buried in Newburyport, Essex, Massachusetts.2 1
