Mary was born on October 21st, 1684 in Charlestown, Suffolk, Massachusetts.1   Mary's father was Andrew Stimpson and her mother was Abigail Stimpson.  Her paternal grandfather was Andrew Stevenson and her paternal grandmother is Jane Stevenson; her maternal grandfather was Benjamin Sweetser and her maternal grandmother is Abigail Callender. She had seven brothers and five sisters, named Andrew, Joseph, Andrew, John, Andrew, Joseph, Benjamin, Abigail, Bethiah, Lydia, Lydia and Bethiah.1
