Thomas was born on August 10th, 1699 in Charlestown, Suffolk, Massachusetts.1   Thomas' father was Thomas Frothingham and his mother was Esther Frothingham.  His paternal grandparents were Nathaniel Frothingham and Mary Kettle; his maternal grandfather is John Call and his maternal grandmother was Hannah Call. He had four sisters named Esther, Esther, Abigail and Anne. He had four half-brothers and a half-sister, named Thomas, Benjamin, Joseph, Andrew and Mary.
