Minnie was born in 1907 in Cleveland, Ohio.1   Minnie's father was Hersh Leib Pieniek and her mother was Chana Baila Warshauer.  Her paternal grandparents were David Eleazer (Layzer)  Pieniek and Rana Temara Braun. She had two brothers and six sisters, named Abraham (Al), Philip, Esther, Zelda, Rachel (Ray), Goldie, Mollie (Monia) and Irving.
