Hersh Leib was born in 1875 in Clinovo, Poland.  Hersh Leib's father was David Eleazer (Layzer)  Pieniek and his mother was Rana Temara Braun.  His paternal grandparents were Tobiasz Pieniek and Ester Bezbrody; his maternal grandparents were Wolf Braun and Marya (Mariem) Drag. He had three brothers and four sisters, named Toyvia Wolfe , Yisrael Meyer, Baercha (Baer) (Benu) (Ben), Mindel, Annie, Rebecca (Rivka) (Becky) and Necha Flora (Feigelcha).  He died at the age of 66 in 1941.
