Bina Leah was born in July 1921 in Golub-Dobrzyn, Poland.1   Bina Leah's father was David Eleazer (b. Toyvia Wolf) Pieniek and her mother was Yita Shmiga.  Her paternal grandparents were Toyvia Wolfe  Pieniek and Shaina Czarna; her maternal grandparents are Moishe Hirsh Shmiga and Yenta. She had two brothers and two sisters, named Shmulek Yitzchak , Daniel, Hanya and Fania (Freedka) (Frieda).  She was the youngest of the five children.  She died in the Holocaust at the age of 18 on November 9th, 1939.
