  Hester was the daughter of Captain John Dutarque, born 1707, son of
  Louis Dutarque and wife Christian Maria. John Dutarque's will, dated
  September 1766 and proved January 1767, stated he lived in St. Thomas
  Parish and mentioned his wife Mary Dutarque and his son in law Captain
  Thomas Joell. Mary Dutarque's will was dated March 1767 and proved
  November 1767. Both John and Mary Dutarque were buried on the family
  plantation.
