Wiliam was born on October 4th, 1774 in Amherst co Va.1   Wiliam's father was John H. Burnett and his mother was Mary (Molly) ?. He had a brother and a sister, named John D. and Frances (Fanny).  He was the oldest of the three children. He had a half-brother named George.  He died at the age of 80 on July 5th, 1855 in Burnett twp (Pope co ) Ar.2 




Wiliam's first family

Wiliam and Elizabeth (Betsy) were married in a religious ceremony on September 2nd, 1797 in Amherst co Va-Vol 23,24,25 pge 5.3   They had a son and eight daughters, named John H, Lucinda, Mary Ann (Polly), Frances Howard, Elizabeth L, Stellice (Stilla), Martha (Patsy), Emily and Eliza Jane.


Wiliam's second family

Wiliam and Mary"Jane" were married in a religious ceremony on October 23rd, 1852 in Pope co Ar book--B page 53.
