John D. was born on February 11th, 1776 in Amherst co Va.  John D.'s father was John H. Burnett and his mother was Mary (Molly) ?. He had a brother and a sister, named Wiliam and Frances (Fanny).  He was the second oldest of the three children. He had a half-brother named George.  He died at the age of 94 on September 29th, 1870 in Crawford Co Ar-Bryant Cem (no marker).1 



John D.'s first family

John D. and Martha (Patsy) were married in a religious ceremony on October 17th, 1799 in Amherst co Va.2 


John D.'s second family

John D. were married in a religious ceremony in 1810.
