John Thomas was born on May 31st, 1847.  John Thomas' father was Jefferson GIBBENS and his mother was Hannah BUTCHER.  His paternal grandparents were John C. GIBBENS and Katherine HOROBAUGH.  He had four brothers and a sister, named Leandro, Alvaro Franklin, Gordon Butcher, Adrian N. and Leonora.  He was the youngest of the six children.  He died at just 6 days old on June 6th, 1847.
