Alvaro Franklin was born on March 1st, 1837.  Alvaro Franklin's father was Jefferson GIBBENS and his mother was Hannah BUTCHER.  His paternal grandparents were John C. GIBBENS and Katherine HOROBAUGH.  He had four brothers and a sister, named Leandro, Gordon Butcher, Adrian N., John Thomas and Leonora.  He was the second oldest of the six children.
