Margaret (Maggie) Reid Stalker

Margaret, known as Maggie, was born on January 13th, 1854 in Paisley and her baptism took place in 1854 in Paisley Abbey parish.¹²

Maggie's father was John Stalker and her mother was Catherine Hamilton. Her paternal grandparents were John Stalker and Margaret Reid; her maternal grandparents were Hugh Hamilton and Catherine Ferguson. She had three brothers and a sister, named John, Hugh, Peter and Kate. She was the third oldest of the five children. She died at the age of 83 on June 30th, 1937 in Cape Province.³
