Catherine Hamilton

Catherine was born in 1826 in Paisley.^1 2   Catherine's father was Hugh Hamilton and her mother was Catherine Ferguson.  Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Hamilton and Janet McLatchie. She had two brothers and three sisters, named Hugh, Hugh, Hellen, Maggie and Janet.  She was the oldest of the six children.  She died due to a medical problem, Disease of Liver, at the age of 40 on August 30th, 1866 in Paisley.^3 4
